Clean Mold Off Marble

Instead you can use a mild soap or detergent cleaner or an all purpose cleaner for the daily cleaning of marble surfaces. Thus if we can remove the moisture and prevent the mold from getting its required food source we can prevent mold from occurring. Mold food sources are cellulose materials like body oils soap scum and hair. Saturate any moldy areas thoroughly.

Run a clean damp cloth over the surface of the cultured marble to slightly wet it. These cleaners safely remove the dirt from your marble. Mold grows on your marble in a moist environment with a food source. Step 1 pour three to four drops of gentle dish soap into a bucket of warm water.

When mold forms on top of properly sealed marble you can easily wipe it away using a marble and granite shower cleaner such as granite gold shower cleaner. General grime nicotine build up and fingerprints can usually be cleaned from unpainted marble using white spirit or a mixture of deionised purified water with up to 2 non ionic detergent added. For extra caution test product on spare tile or inconspicuous area regular use every 2 to 4 weeks depending on level of use will keep surfaces clean. When cleaned correctly mold is easily removed from marble surfaces. For stubborn areas an equal mixture of water and white spirit with up to 2 non ionic detergent added may be useful. If the surface already has lingering water such as from a shower you don t need to add more. Mold and mildew build up can be very difficult to combat especially in the bath and shower area of the bathroom.
