Clean Up Wax From Carpet

Remove beeswax from carpeting clothes or fabric using an iron. The remaining pieces may budge with a little bit of friction. In just a few seconds the wax will begin to be adsorbed by the paper bag. Turn your iron onto low heat.

Bag of ice or an ice pack iron a hair dryer can work in a pinch paper towel terry cloth towel or brown paper bag. Lowest heat turn the iron onto the lowest setting and begin to iron the bag. A hair dryer set to the hottest setting can also be used to remove wax from carpet. Place a clean paper bag with no printing or a paper towel over the wax.

If the plastic or wax still doesn t come off try freezing it with an ice pack and breaking it apart once it s frozen. To remove wax from carpet use a knife or plastic card to scrape up excess dried wax. Turn the iron onto a warm not hot setting with the steam turned off. Next lay either a brown paper bag or a clean cloth directly over the affected area of your carpet.

Cover the wax start by simply placing the bag over an area where the wax spilled. You may have yielded brilliant results but to really finish the job off well you need to clean the carpet. Dampen a white cotton towel fold it in half and place it over the wax. You ll want to keep the iron moving consistently.

Heat an iron to a medium setting with no steam and press the iron to the paper bag directly over the wax. Using a warm iron slowly press the iron on top of the paper bag or cloth. Place a piece of brown paper bag or clean kitchen towel on top of the wax. You ll see that the material will start to absorb the wax and lift it off the carpet.

Repeat until the wax is gone you may have to hold the iron in place for up to 30 seconds. Remove the plastic bag and begin to scrape the wax off the carpet using a dull knife. Press an iron set on high over the towel for 10 seconds. If there are still bits stuck to the carpet afterward try gently scrubbing the area with a carpet cleaner fabric cleaner or rubbing alcohol.

Place a brown paper bag or card stock over the wax stain and keep a towel nearby to protect the rest of the carpet. Laundry detergent may be useful in removing wax from carpet. To remove wax from carpet you ll need the following on hand.
