Marble should never be cleaned with any type of acidic cleaner.

Most of these are very acidic or alkaline based and will quickly etch your marble.
Wet the entire area with hot water then apply the cleaning.
Don t use ammonia vinegar orange or lemon for cleaning.

For a green alternative mix a tablespoon of baking powder into about a quart of 75 25 mix of white vinegar and water.
Dish washing soaps and ph neutral soaps diluted with warm water are ideal or a commercial marble cleaner.
If you want to go the easy route try a commercially available stone cleaner.
You might not realize this but almost every cleaner that you use is acidic.
For the best results mix approximately 8 ounces of warm water with one tablespoon of the soap in a spray bottle or other container.
Put the toilet brush inside the bowl helping to sanitize the brush for cleaning.

Microfiber or chamois not any type of scrubber to wipe down the entire marble countertop.

And definitely don t use the average bathroom grout cleaner or tub and tile type cleaners.
