To clean metal awnings use a metal cleaning solvent and water. Depending on your awning material you will need to use different cleaning solutions. Four ounces half cup of chlorine bleach. Htd heavy duty detergent is strong enough to remove those tough stains yet mild enough to use on a wide arrange of fabrics.

Dip the clean cloth into the cleaning solution and spread the cleaner all over the awning. Prepare a special cleaning mixture. Hang the awning out to air dry and leave it until the next cleaning. You can also use a vinyl or fabric cleaner if you wish.

If your awnings are made of aluminum use a solvent especially created for it. This detergent is especially effective if you decide to wash the awning fabric in a washing machine. Then leave the awning open and spread out to let it air dry completely. If stubborn stains persist you can use a diluted chlorine bleach soap mixture for spot cleaning of mildew roof run off and other similar stains.

Step 1 pour cool or lukewarm water into a bucket. For fixed awnings rollup awnings and retractable awnings made of canvas or outdoor fabrics use a mild laundry detergent and lukewarm water. Two ounces one fourth cup of natural soap. If you took the awning down to clean it put it back up while it s still damp so it ll easily stretch to fit its mount.
